Vertical space becomes increasingly important when addressing limited property lot dimensions, and a modern design concept would be to incorporate an overhead loft space into the home's interior. These lofts can be used as sleeping quarters for overnight family members and guests or storage space. Students traveled from across North Carolina to visit the planetarium and learn about constellations in the night sky. Seventy-five years after opening the doors of its first small museum in Freedom Park Charlotte, Discovery Place continues to shape a future where people of all ages embrace science to create opportunities, build hope, solve problems and bring positive change to our world. Students can explore the laws of physics at the Cool Stuff exhibit, delve into the wonders of the human body at the World Alive exhibit, or discover the future of technology at the Thinker Space.
